Dropping a v8 into my '01.
I have a 2001 v6 mustang. Is it possible to drop a v8, around 300 hp, into my car. Im thinking yes, but I dont know where to look or how much it would cost. Any advice?

$4k+ easy and depending which v8 the price can raise...a 4.6L 289 stock GT engine will cost $4k-$6k after everything is in and running fine
300hp v8 like a 301 or something whould cost more NOT WORTH IT

Ya to drop a v8 in it isn't cheap, plus labor will be expensive. If you're going to drop a whole new engine in it might as well save up and get something pimp instead of going with a basic v8.

Or just buy a 302, build it up, and put it in a Fox one day But maybe that's just me. . ..

i wouldnt spend the money. just buy a new car. and build that up. probably cheaper in the end. no reason to tear up a good 6er and possibly run into problems.
