The PLan

So I should have about a grang to spend and heres what I think I want to do. The only thing I dont know for sure is the headers. Should I get them or Underdrive pullys?

BBK Shorty Headers $270
Flowmaster Dual Exhaust $395
Cold Air Intake w/K&N filter $94
Hurst Short Shifter $170

is there a reason you chose shorties? lt give better sound and performance, but shorties are the best way if u choose the turbo route..

Flowmasters don't sound good if you change the midpipe

Technically shorties aren't gonna do much -

Lts would be so much better & you can get an H/X or just run true duals thats up to you....

Do not pay that much for a cat back made for your stock Y-pipe. Get a custom exhaust with flows and a crossover bar for 375 at a muffler shop.Thats exhaust and mid pipe then ahve them weld the LT's to your custom midpipe. and shorties aren't going to do much.

save some money on the flows and go to www.Jegs.com and order the Force Pro Series mufflers... you can get both for the price of ONE flow and they are the same...i got em on my v6 and they sound great. The guys at the exhaust shop were trippin out when they found out how much i paid haha

ya you definately dont want to get flowmasters with a y-pipe. if you want dual exhaust get an h-pipe or an xpipe.
Question-
I have a 01 vert and I was looking at changing headers along with adding an xpipe and some magnaflow catbacks, I live in florida so we dont have emissions. I heard I can't put on longheaders b/c it's a vert, and a regular h-pipe conversion would fit under it yessum?

dont get shorties. unless your modded they wont do much of anything for you.
i suggest a steeda triax shifter.
you can get a CAI off ebay for like $50 shipped.

u can just buy a k&n filter and build ur own cai pretty simple and a lot cheaper

as for the headers and exhaust, i have that setup exactly but plan to get rid of the Y pipe asap but i also plan on puttin on TT so thas why i went with shorties
