Mean sounding stang.

Hey guys. I'm new here, and I'll dive right into some of my questions. Every time I hear a mustang GT go by, I can tell it's a GT just by the sound. I mean, it's awesome. Every time I hear one, the hair on the back of my neck gets raised and I get goosebumps. This may seem like a weird question, but I'm wondering if I can get my mustang to sound like that, or get it sounding pretty mean? It's a 2000 V6 silver mustang. Even though it isn't a GT or anything, it's still a nice ride.

Do any of you have some tips or suggestions for me? Thanks.

well you will need a port and polish to get more flow better cam shaft with an aggresive lift and lobe... better valve springs and such... a better fuel system with better injectors a better coil pack with good plugs and then the exhaust of your choice... maybe long tube headers and custom fabbed from their back with what ever muffler you want

all in all ... it might be round 1500-2000 dollars for all that but you will be sitting with a damn good mustang with plenty of room for improvment

MAC is gonna be a good source of exhaust parts...

Supersixmotorsports will be a good place for machining and cams...

you can talk to them and see what they say... i would acctually ask them the same question you posted here and tell them that you had a few things in mind and list what i said and see what they say...

screamin demon is a coil pack that will work... walbro fuel pump... maybe a 190 or something ... and you might be able to talk to someone on here about injectors... maybe a 28 or 32 lb... or 24 might do... im not sure... so yea ask SSMS about what i said and see what they have to say

what year car do you have?

well not neccesarily... you could run stock componenets with an upgraded cam... but it would be pointless and the stockers could only support it up to a certain point... you might be able to pull it off tho im not sure

Erra: Better fuel system better injectors better coil pack good plugs - Negative

If all he's going for is a "GT ish sound" which btw you wont ever get... You can do.

Long Tubes + Cold Air + Cam + _insert mid pipe_ = sound

If all you want is the sounds buy a gt. With all the money you will be spending to get it close you could afford one, and put exhaust and a cam in the GT to make it even meaner. Plus with the V6 it will never sound like an 8 since we have an even firing motor.

you cant make your car sound like a GT unless you drop a GT motor into your car BUT you can make a v6 sound good.. h-pipe of your choice and dual flow master or MAC mufflers and your stang will sound better than a stock GT imo..

longtube headers + h-pipe + MAC or Flows = Better sound than cat-back GTs
