when is the hesitation? from a dead stop? or a roll? how many miles do you have?

Yeah I get that too, I was told a cold air intake would help...I'll probably be getting one in the somewhat near future.

I'm assuming you have an auto right? I have an 04 auto and it did that when i had it stock also and still a little now.. the CAI actually did help that a lot when i got it. It's still there a little but its not bad. It's just your stock transmission downshifting that takes awhile.

that'd be my guess, too.. unless this is something that has just started happening

If you have an auto and you floor it. if it is taking awhile for it to go it is because the computer has to figure out what you want to do, down shift, and go.
A tuner from SCT like an x-cal or pone from sniper tuning will help.
also look into a shiftkit.

yeah its an auto... i should have said that before mybad

i bought the car right before winter and i noticed a slight hesitation i didnt really think nothing of it. Thought i would just give it a tune up and get new exhaust and be done. It got a little worse.

how much does it usually cost to get a shiftkit put in a car??

for a full shift kit which will let you shift your car manually or automatic
shiftkit-65 bucks
torque converter - 250 bucks (or less)
shifter - 200 bucks

plus about 100-200 install.

you can, but you will only have control over 3 gears. If your gonna drop something don't get the torque converter your only gonna need that if you plan on racing a lot. But I would get the shifter since you won't have to worry about OD the shifter will be
p
r
n
d
3
2
1
with reverse, and neutral lock out and 1 will be first, 2 will be second, 3 will, be third and d will be OD, or just put it in d and it will be an auto. Also with the new shifter you will be able to up and down shift, but with the stock shifter you can't down shift since you have no control over third.

hesitation

tranny might be slipping, get some rear gears like 4.10s take away some hesitation get a posi rear thu, if you can find one buy a rear out of a wreck Gt and swap out for the 8.8 then put 4.10 posi in it and you'll notice a big diffrence you'll have to get it tuned if you have an auto and all the shift kit stuff anf you'll be in decent shape
