Selling the V6...Cobra Time?

This is NOT a for sale thread.....

Gonna miss it, but I'm pretty much done with it. Put it up for sale this morning on a local site. Next up I'm thinking is gonna be a 96-98 Cobra. I've always loved them. Plus it'll be nice having a 4v to play with for a while. I might not be selling the wheels though. Might throw some starfish on on the sixxer and put the 10th anni's on my next Stang. Unless the buyer wants to pay an extra five hundred for them.

Just posting the mod list to show why i have had such a hard time coming to this decision. It's the first car I've put time and money into, and it will be sorely missed... But I've learned a lot and know exactly what I want for the next car. Won't spend money on stupid, cheap mods any more like I did when I started with the sixxer.

Why are you selling it?

I would recommend a '99 Cobra

Either that or a 75 shot of N20 because that would probably make you faster than a 96-08 Cobra

I'm done tryin to get it to pass NC state inspection. Everytime I fix something, something else goes wrong. Right now the 1-2 synchro is going bad, it'll need a new heater core before winter, and ever since the longtubes were installed it's been throwing bank 1 lean and a bank 2 rich codes. I just don't care enough about it anymore to try...And I was once told that if the car isn't bringing you joy anymore, it's time to move on. And I'm pretty sure that with a few simple mods, one of those cobras sure will bring me more joy. And I'm interested in the 96-98 Cobras. I've always liked them.

Nah, it'll be ok. Hopefully I can find one that's been basically left alone. Maybe just a few bolt ons at most.

Just curious but why did you choose a different body style from what you already had?

I'm hoping to get $5K without the wheels. Just gonna swap on some Stock GT starfish. But if the buyer wants the wheels it'll be $5,500.

Sounds like a plan man. I'm in the same boat as well. Trying to get the V6 cleaned up and work out some minor issues before I put it up for sale than I'll be in the market for an 03/04 Mach 1 or a 99/01 Cobra. There's actually an 01 Cobra for sale near me that I'm going to go take a look at some time this week.

you should definitely consider getting the 03 cobra if at all possible, the engine upgrades were quite substantial that year.

HaHa, thanks for the suggestions guys. But I really do love the 96-98 Cobras. Just something about them that's been calling my name for quite some time now.

And I do love the WS6's. I think they look, sound, and perform great.
