Rear axle assembly help

I am looking to rebuild my 8.8" rear axle assembly (which I just bought for $100 ) and was wondering whether to go with the Eaton LSD or a Ford Racing T-loc LSD or if you know of a better differential please let me know. I also intend to put 31 spline axles in and was thinking about going with Moser but if there is a better axle brand let me know. Just looking for opinions and recommendations . If you have a set up that works amazing let me know what you're running

i am using the stock GT lsd that came in my 8.8, just upped the gears, clutch pack, and bearings.
they say a 7.5 lsd will hold 300-350 hp, so surely a 8.8 lsd will hold that and more.

The rear end I bought has a LSD with over 150,000 miles on and has some serious problems, which is why I was going to gut it out and put all new aftermarket internals in it. I decided to go with a Ford Racing LSD 31 spline, 3.73 gears, Moser 31 spline axle, Motive Bearing Kit

Got all the parts in today, any tips for install, I guess rear ends are one of the hardest things on a car to do.

I decided to go over to my neighbors who is an ASE certified retired mechanic with a full shop and lift so I don't screw anything up. He only charges 7.50 an hour so its cheap and high quality work

I know Eaton is a great manufacturer of differentials but I never heard anything bad about the ford racing differentials and they were half the cost of the eatons.

if its half the cost its for a reason. I blew a ford racing posi faster then my stock one. they suck. Detriot tru trac is ALWAYS where its at over all. I garuntee with a V6 motor, if installed right you will NEVER blow a detriot 31spline.

I returned the ford racing LSD now and am considering getting the detroit over the Eaton. I am working on getting a 4.6 4v or a 4.6 2v for my car and supercharging it so I am looking at getting a minimum of 400 hp. Also I am halfway through getting all the parts needed to convert my rear suspension to griggs racing set-up so that power will be stuck to the road with slicks. So is the detroit or the Eaton better?

g19n87r "7.50 an hour?were is this"

My neighbor is a retired mechanic on disability because his back is bad and has all his tools and had a lift installed in his garage. He only asks for $7.50 an hour in cash

Go with the Eaton LSD. It can prevent wheels to slip before it get started. Its a good product choice.
