An Electrical oops! while installing some cold cathodes.....
Hey guys, so yesterday i decided to try and wire my cold cathodes i just got to the back of my gauge cluster. i took two of the lightbulbs out and ran the power lead to that and reinstalled the bulbs then turned everything on and it stayed on for about 2.5 seconds and then shut off and now my lighting behind my cluster doesnt work. any suggestion as to what possibly happened? i was thinking it popped a fuse but i checked them all and none of them look blown....what do i do?

Sounds like your Mustang is allergic to rice. Pretty common.....
J/K, could be a number of things, but a fuse is most likely. I dont know for sure, but I would think the amperage coming from the bulb socket is nowhere near enought to power those tubes. When running something like that, it is always best to go through a known good 12V source, like the cig lighter, or direct off the headlight switch.
