m90 or m112???

ok so i've found a lot of eaton m90's on ebay for sale at prices i could afford. but i saw how tomzac did the m112...would that be worth the fab work and what not to do to my 96? if i got the m90 i could buy one off ebay at the end of this week. what do you guys think? what kinda work would i be looking at to put an m90 on?

your looking at a lot of custom work.

for what you would spend in most cases on fabbing that up
you could buy a better s/c new.

save labor troubles (paying or doing it yourself) there are plenty of better s/c and turbo that are (pretty much) direct bolt-ons

well...i cant afford a brand new turbo/s/c kit and it would take me probly 2-3 years to save the money...so im probably gonna look at getting on off ebay thats lightly used. what are some good brands to look for...i know vortec and procharger both make systems for out cars...but i havent found them at a price i can afford.

if you cant afford a s/c or turbo chances are you shouldnt get one.. but thats my opinion.. to me its like if you cant afford the gas dont buy the car.. if you cant afford to fix the motor dont tinker with it. but not to rain on your parade or anything.. i think you should try bolt-ons and see how they do you over

but you can find vortech on ebay for about 2000 sometimes

i just got a bunch of bolt ons...as listed in my sig. i find turbo's on ebay all the time for 150-300 for the turbine..most of them are t4's which is what i want. i'm not planning on getting it all at the same time. i just want to get what i can as money allows, and by summer i should have all the pieces. but what would be a better investment...a garrett t4 turbo, or a vortech?

A split port swap would be a better investment for you, but it all depends.

- How many miles are on your car?

Oh also I noticed "custom paint job?" < thats money you could have used for preformance **shame**

well with all your bolt-ons like he said above me i would go with a split port swap.. and use the intake from a Ford WINDSTAR minivan thats what i would use.. lol i actually thought about swapping mine from my friends minivan and mines already split-port.. and throw a 4.2 crank in it too

For a 94-98 3.8 Mustang if you take your time and find the right parts it is mostly a bolt.

Roadhawg did a damn nice job, and it fits under the stock hood. For the people that say the 90 supercoupe swap is a waste of time, take a moment a visit http://www.sccoa.com/forums/ and take a look at what can be accomplished with a sc setup.

lol nothing that procharger, vortech or a turbo could out-perform

not to mention m90 and m112 s/c(roots style superchargers) ARE NOT as good in the higher rpm bands such as a centrifigul s/c like procharger or vortech or in that case OBVIOUSLY not more powerful then a turbo in those rpm bands.

and guess where you are when your racing......yea in those high rpm bands...those s/c are only good for off the line and...um..thats it compared to other forced induction routes out there

throw money into a BOLT ON procharger or vortech s/c kit. or turbo!

i bet his set up isnt seeing past 300rwhp or torque...and with full bolt ons and at 9psi i doubt it'll push much past 300rwhp at all if it gets there

get a 9psi turbo kit stock motor aside from fuel injectors and fuel pump and hit 300rwhp like its funny

ur looking at around 3k for the total install minus the dino tuning....thats a rather high ball park price...the kit for the m112 will be realesed sometime soon im guessing end of next month...if ur singleport m90...split port go with a centri. s/c....i actually if i still had my v6 before i procharged it i wish i could of had a roots on it just for the uniqueness of having it...it took 5000 to get my procharger to run compatible and me putting around 300rwhp...install,dino,and an engine that would run great with it....3k to 5k...im digging the m112
