I sounds like one of the clutch components because it stops when you push the clutch in right?

So I went to the shop this morning,
Lifted it up to take a look and it was my driveshaft
This circle thing that is on the drive shaft broke and was
sliding up and down the DRIVEshaft freely.so everytime it spun
it sounded like king kong was coming through the floor
Needless to say we got the peice off and now I'm searching for a drive shaft

Now is the best time.

But if you don't have the money, I would say check a salvage yard for one off a newer mustang (99-04). Just make sure it is a 5 speed. It wont add anything, but it wont be as old.

ya, the auto is a different length. any 97-04 manual trans DS will fit. Im not sure if the 94-96 5.0 will fit.

Did you take the yoke out of the trans?

I have no idea what A yoke is,
The shop told me I can still drive it, but it will vibrate etc
So I'm going to replace it.

The you goes in the back of the trans. It connects the trans to the driveshaft via a U-joint.
