Blower Arrived and Longtubes In

Just acouple of pictures. Might want to turn your screen to 50%

Used Blower I got, sending to Vortech for rebuild

My setup is Mac longtube Headers, O/R H pipe, Flowmaster super 44's. The car sounds alot more loopy and gained some balls.

Passenger side header cracked 100% around, inside the flange.

Shit wont line up

And finished product

Yeah Im going to be pming you guys alot. And code, you know ill give you a heads up if the spray goes away.My plan for the blower is to intercool it(ebay intercooler and pipeing) and meth/water injection(Snow Profromance). I plan on getting it dynotuned after all is done so I dont do that much damage haha.

Anyone know what kinda psi Would be safe with this. Im figureing 8 should be very safe between the intercooler and meth/water. And 10 would be pushing it. Btw any advice you guys can give, just spit it out.

Sorry red, I dont have your address..... Maybe next time

I have heard you can use the very basic window wash fluid for water/meth injection.

You can put your fulid in the windowwashing container thing , but as using washing fluid Idk. I'd just buy boostjuice ,which is premixed. If you dont stomp on it every light it lasts awhile so I hear.

It is basically 50/50. You have to have water so the meth wont burn.

This is what I have heard..

From most of the cars that have tried it with the vortech the w/m doesn't do anything so you might wanna save the $ the intercooler will be sufficient.

You could run 10psi with tune/ic

It was a bitch. With like 5 good people working very relaxed it was a 2 night afair. like 10 hours total becuase it would getting it to fit on the studs was hard and we had to fab the pipeing and flanges. Thats not a real good estimate but I would give yourself a relaxed weekend, not an evening after work.

I mean even if it dosnt do much cooling, it still is an octane booster at wot. I can have a tune for a higher octane as like a track tune.

Btw what pulley size would be 8-10 psi assumming the intercooler makes it loose 2 psi.

Imho, your not going to need to run meth injection anything under 13psi. Just run 93oct and youll be fine.

Also remember, boost is only a measurement taken at the manifold. What you should worry about is rwhp. Imo, 350 is safe.

If you do go with methanol injection, I would shoot for 15psi off the rip. That should put at around 340 with an ic. Swap the cam and gain 30-50 more rwhp.

What people dont realize with these blowers is, Your not going to see peak boost til peak rpm, and as soon as you see it, you shift to the next gear, so in all, these blowers are pretty safe.

15 psi seems pretty radical. And I unstand boost is basicly linear with rpm. Im looking to put down at least 300/300 , hopefully more like 310ish with methand ic. Ill look more into running higher boost. And cam is what I would be looking to do as the next major mod after I get all this shit in, but thats a little far away.

What size pipeing should I get for the intercooler kit? outlet is 2.75 I think

To get that setup to 310rwhp, your gonna have to run the 3.12" pulley. That should put you at around 12-13psi with an ic. I would do the 2.95" and be done personally. Especially if your gonna use injection.

I'm using 3" piping with my d1. cxracing have some good stuff from what I hear.

Anything is better than the weak stock cam. It is not go for boost what so ever. imo, it is the biggest restriction on these cars.
