So I went back to return it and the guy was all confused (this guy from autozone actually knows what hes talking about lol) all he was saying was "Ford, not standard??? Thats odd" So we went out to try the metric one and still none of them fit. So we came to the conclusion that the previous owner must of put the wheels on in the first place with a socket rather than a lug wrench. OR I need a "deep" lug wrench because the lug nuts aren't flush with the rim, they are set in about an inch within the rim. So I am saying fuck it because I am on a strict time limit and letting a shop do both front brakes/rotors for $150. Which is fine with me because my friends dad owns the shop and I know he wont cheap out on pads/rotors on me.

That sucks... Buy a 4-way lug wrench with deep, skinny walls. It will help in the end.. I wish I lived near you, because I would have came and done it for you...

Didn't drop the car off yet, wanted to fix my window first so I knew I had that done before track day tomorrow Hate having to do things last minute but I think I just might pull it off haha. About to drop it off in about 20 minutes and walk my ass about a block home.

Well the changing of the pads wasn't the problem. The problem was getting a lug wrench to fit my damn lug nuts. You have no idea how bad I want to punch the previous owner in the head because he didn't leave what he used to put them on with the car when he got rid of it. I went to autozone earlier to buy a 4 way lug wrench and their site told me to get a metric one (didn't make sense to me but hey weirder things have happened) and none of them fit like I pretty much knew would happen. So I went back to autozone to exchange it for a standard one and oddly enough none of them fit either. So I had this guy that works there (that actually knows what hes doing suprisingly) out in the parking lot with me trying different lug wrenches, deep sockets, etc and NOTHING worked at all. So I had to go to my last resort which was bring it to a shop. And I am PRAYING they get it done by 4pm tomorrow so I can still go to the track for "Street night" I have been looking forward to tomorrow for like a week and a half and now this happens. Today has been terrible. But I guess on the bright side I am getting new rotors now too lol.

Never went got my buddies dad thats doing the brakes to inspect me. Hes going to do it after the brakes are done. Last I heard my buddy was telling me he was having a hard time finding the right size socket for the lug nuts since none of his lug wrenches worked either.

Yea, I would have went to him in the first place if I knew he could have done it. But I guess he just recently got his permit/license to do inspections. Don't know how that crap works but all I know is he couldnt do it before and now he can lol.

Never bothered to ask lol, been too focused on getting the hell outa there after dropping my car off so he can hopefully get it done by 4 tomorrow, even though he has a bunch of cars there now. Been dieing to hit the track even though I am a mid 16 second car, its still fun as hell.

Well I am pretty sure the rules are the same at any drag strip. The one I go to is a 1/4 mile though. All you need is to be 18, with a license and your own car with the battery secured wherever it is. They do little inspections like make sure your seat belt works, and make sure your car wont start in gear. If you run 13's then you need a helmet unless your a vert then you need a roll cage, at 12's non verts need roll cages, 9's you need a parachute and a NRA drag license (not sure if it's NRA but thats what came off the top of my mind)

well i just checked there website and theres so many rules and regulations and i would need a roll cage im sure if i read the site right. i will just stick with the long strip near my house to wot btw just went out to see if i could get out those bird crap stains and just about did. just a rag with dish soap and water and got like 80% of it out. if you were walking by it you wouldnt notice it unless you looked closely. cleaned it a little bit to. may clean my whole top. lol
