one thing after another.

My engine makes this clicking noise as it runs. I was told that it was probably a gasket. any ideas?

If it does it when your turning your wheels its the P.S. pump.

Could also be the air condition kicking on and off.

Could also be the throw out bearing.

A gasket doesnt click.

Be more specific.

could also be a cv joint or something in your suspension or something along those lines.

it does it shile the car is just sittingand its not the air condition. it coresponds with the rpms. the higher the rpms the faster the clicking. one guy told me that it could be the head gasket, but Im not sure.

tell em to shut up. I don't see why lifters would only make a clicking noise during turns though. does it make the noise if you turn the wheel when your stopped with the car on?

its not the steering pump. it has nothing to do with what the rest of the car is doing. its the engine itself thats making the noise. no matter whether Im driving or just letting my car run while I look at it.

Ok then that makes sense as it being lifters. Get your timing checked first. But you may need to replace your lifters.

i would look at the seats on yours valves. you might have a rocker arm off balance on the valve. I know its a long stretch, but it makes a little sense to me. Also could be a bend push rod.

cuz it could be a result of late oil changes or something of that nature. Best bet to take a look at the lifters.

... are you hard on your car?

you could have spun a bearing on the crank

which would suck

I don't think its a bearing, the sound is coming more from along the driver side of the engine.
