just go by autozone or the local parts store and get a can of automotive satin black spray. it was easy. waayyyyyyyyyyyy better than paying $150 for the dumb uglyass honeycomb panel. cheaper than the vinyl kits too btw

I don't think that the v6 bumper with tips below it actually looks nice. I like the GT bumper more, but the v6 bumper is not as bad as everyone makes it sound.

You can cut them out yourself. The only problem is that the gt ones like have a bend in them. You can cut the v6 one out and it looks decent in my opinion. I think it looks better just running the tips under the bumper tho. THat is my opinion. Check out mcqueens garage he has his tips in the bumper that was cut. It looks pretty good. And if your on a budget it looks great.

My local Walmart carries Krylon spray paint. They have satin black and their nozzles have a nice spray. I did my blackout panel with satin black Krylon (about 4 months ago) on a rainy day (then had to take the car out an hour after I finished, not planned) and my panels looks as good as the minute I finished.

Ya cutting the v6 bumpers looks pretty good, but tips under an uncut v6 bumper looks like
imo. If you have side exhaust or dumps then the v6 is fine, but i love tips on the new edges, and the gt bumper is the best way to do that, unless you have a termi

Indeed it does, but i still think you need to go with side exhaust or dumps if you do that.

1st off, talk like a real person.
1. pull the car in a garage or an area that will not be affected by weather. 2. Start by taping off the area you want painted with blue painters tape and using plenty of newspaper to keep the spray off the rest of the car. 3. lightly sand the area you want painted with 800 or finer sand paper. just enough to remove the clear coat. and make sure you sand evenly. using water to wet the area and sand paper is a good idea as well. wait for it to dry. 4. to start painting, shake can well and spray a scrap piece of paper to make sure it isnt clogged. when spraying the car, make sure you start spraying the paper on one side and evenly spray when moving across the car and keep going till you hit the paper on the other side of the desired paint area and let off. then begin spraying again going the other direction and repeat the process letting off the spray after every swipe. be sure to not apply too much paint at a time so it does not run. to be safe you can apply a couple coats with 25-30 in between. i did two coats 25 min apart. if the paint does end up runny, then you can sand it back down after drying and try again. 5 after spraying be sure to leave the room so you do not cause dust and dirt, ect... to stir up and affect the newly applied paint. 6. i do not know how long it takes for your paint to dry but when it is dry, slowly remove the tape to ensure you get a clean removal. and you are done.
