Need a quick answer, in middle of changing power window motor on front drivers side
Alright so as the title says I am in the middle of doing this, like I managed to get the plastic door panel off, and I got that sticky thing off too (guessing its the water guard thing) now I am down to the light grey metal piece that spreads along my entire door, do I have to remove this too? I don't see the motor anywhere so I am guessing I do, just want to double check on that. So I just unbolt the bunch of bolts I see and remove it?

Bump?
Also, is it possible to just pull the window up into place for a day? I am running out of time lol. I tried to pull it up from the bottom of the window a very little bit but its putting up a lot of resistance so I stopped and figured I would ask first. I just want to pull it up into place (in the up position of course) so I can go to work and not know my window is stuck down...

Did the replacement motor come with instructions? There is alot more to these than just unbolt remove and bolt in.

I figured it out, had to run inside cuz a bee wouldn't leave me alone and im deathly alergic to bees. Just have to put the door panel back on and I am done
So now once brakes/rotors are done I can finally hit the track again! Woohoo.

I've taken them off three times at this point...first time was to replace the door speakers
second and third were to tint my windows. and yes I know you don't HAVE to take them off to do that, it's just easier that way. |

Taking them off also ensures a better and easier tint job imo. Hell if I was going to attempt to tint my windows myself just because i know how hard it is to do the first time I would probably just take my windows out so I knew it would come out perfect.

Still probably wouldn't come out perfect haha.
tinting your fronts really isn't that bad, but the rear window is impossible. |

I don't even want to imagine doing it on a vert. But I don't think I will tint my windows anytime soon honestly. Every single shop I have ever talked to does NOT have a problem with my blacked out tail lights, but they ALL check for window tint and said they would fail me if I had any sort of tint on my windows. I even asked about the state/federal 35% limit and they all told me if I had 50% tint they would still fail me.... I don't understand it.
EDIT: And i noticed my windows kind of already look tinted in my sig... But they arent at all lmao.

Police don't care in my area either, I mean I have had cops tell me my tail lights are very illegal, especially in the day time. I have come back with a "so how much is this ticket going to cost me?" and I have always got a "Im not giving you a ticket or a warning, just letting you know. Hope you don't get rear ended"
And I find my tail lights would be more dangerous than 35% tint which you can still see through if necessary.

I had 35% on my fronts and pulled it off like a week later. It was too light for my taste. It helped with sun and such, but you could clearly see through both windows.
20 is alittle bit dark at night where there isn't much light though. |
