Longtubes are in! Video Update!

I spent all day today working on my exhaust.

I got all the old shit out

got the new longtubes in.

and got the shorty h pipe installed.

i also have a question, both my headers have these on them

now im not sure what exactly these are but my guess is that since my headers are the 99-00 model. that these are for the smog pump that some 99-00 's had.

does anyone know what size these are so i can get some caps. I forgot to measure before i put them in.

there were 2 connections on the passenger side, one was for the EGR, and one wasn't used, then there is the un used one on the drivers side.

hopefully later today, i dropped 2 of the bolts that hold the headers on and i cannot find them so i have to go buy some new ones today.

i also discovered that the smog thing isnt a 3/4, as i got a cap that was that size and it was too small.

is there anything else that would work?

probably not lol

the exhaust shops in my city wanted $600-800 to install the longtubes and then another $500 - 800 to fab up the rest. im sure its going to be more than $15 but i will call around.

and secondly, i was taking my back tire off to slide in the tailpipe and one of my fucking wheel studs snapped right in half. is it safe to drive with only 4 lugs on one back wheel for a few days until i have time to take it to a tire shop?

or should i just leave it until my new 8.8 goes in, sometime in the next few weeks?

thanks

Do I have to pull the axel out to replace it? Does the old one just pound out and the new one pound in?

They are EGR. There are more than one to make them more economical to put different EGR places to be used on different cars... Instead of making one set of long tubes with one set of EGR's then to make one with several.
As you can see with my headers below...
