i love how they sound...i think i have 2 1/4 inch piping...how about you?...kinda wish i went 2.5 but my tips are 2.5 i believe (its been a while since i had done the work)

and it seems to be louder when you first start the car and the piping is cold. once you run it for a while, or go for a highway run or something for like 15 minutes, it seems it isnt as loud as it is through the first 5 minutes of starting up :-/

i still love it tho

For a CAI, would you guys go with K&N, BBK, or C&L?

None of the above. An Ebay kit or the one from AmericanMuscle does the exact same thing as the name brands... not a mod you want to spend any more than necessary money on.

Buy a cheap CAI with a K&N filter if you have your heart set on getting one

yea No real difference. The only thing I would buy namebrand would be the filter.
But the American Muscle CAI's filter might be good. Ya never know

I would get one. If you can get a cheap one. They add better throttle response. NO real power, but they look better, and add better response and sound cooler. But I am sure a drop in filter with no air box would do the same thing. I would do like others said just get the drop in filter. Remove old air box and save up for windstar kit. That way you get the tubin in the kit and reuse your drop in filter.

its virtually worthless on a v6 unless you windstar/port the stock manifold and get a larger TB
