I HAVE 3.73 w/ auto and its no where near readline @ 60, 4.10s sure as hell wont put u at redline at 60 :p, not even w/ OD off :p

try to find a used tuner, u will end up needing it anyways if u do gears or something big. i found my xcal3 used and unlocked for 250, so search around.

i got 3.73's and a t-lok for about $500 for both new, when im going 65-70 im roughly about 3200-3500 rpms.

lol i've had 4.10's tlok and bearing/install kit sitting in my closet for 7 months, in the same box american muscle shipped them in =\ .. been tryin to sell them for a week now.. decided to go with 8.8in rear end

Redline with 4.10's on a near to stock auto is like 100 with O/D off, 140 with it on if your car as enough umph.
Get dual exhuast if you dont have that yet, best mod you will get for 300

Gears for sure. But you're not getting them + install for 300...Especially if you buy the master bearings.

If it is an auto, get a small bolt pattern flexplate and a 4.6 converter. Done right it will be around $300, done cheaply you might get it done for less than $100.
I never understood why ford used the larger converter on the smaller engine. Alan |
