Ford put the same wires in all the cars regardless of if they had those options (trac control and foglights. On your car, the only switch that will do anything is the defroster, just ignore the others.

![]() No, it is traction control. When it is on, the computer will use the anti-lock to keep the wheels from spinning.

The ones with anti-lock do. Most of the newer new edge's that are auto have it. Atleast this is what I have seen.

Mine didn't come w/ it and I have a stick so might just be auto's... When the light is ON, (Button reads Trac Off) that means that Traction Control has been disabled.
The Sniper Tuning system allows you to tune the ECU to always have Traction Control OFF so it's a far fetch but you may have something other than the stock tune loaded to the ECU. That or a malfunction...

BadBlackGT said it already, traction control and fog lights. Options you do not have.
As for where they actually run.. they run to the nearest connector where one side has the wire going in and the other has none coming out. I know the fog signal wire terminates in the driver side wheel well at a connector. I don't know why you'd cut them out... you'll just cause yourself more problems. Here's a pinout of the foglight connector that will probably help with wiring fogs in if you plan to use the OEM switch.

like they said....the middle one is for traction control...if your car is a 5 speed or doesn't have ABS you probably won't have it
third is for foglights...ford left the button and harness there for foglights in the v6's |

ALL MUSTANGS CAME WIRED FOR
1: REAR DEFROST 2: TRACTION CONTROL 3: FOG LIGHTS I do believe their is a way to wire a new set of fog lights into that system, and if you get a switch, they will work like stock fogs.... the VMP set just might wire into them idk If your car doesnt have options 2 or 3 then they put a black stud in there to fill in and look right. I snagged 2 switches out of a stang but i think one is broken it doesnt "click" when you push it in. |
