Questions on Turbo Chargers
Hi, I just bought a 2008 Mustang with the 4.0L V6 and I have some questions on turbochargers. Now im looking into doing one within the next two years or so but I have a few questions/concerns. First with the questions, does anyone here have a specific brand that they prefer? Also does anyone know of any reputable shops in the northern Ohio are for installation, or a good site to buy from. My next battery of questions is about doing twin turbos, how different would the integration be and what kind of problems can be expected with this kind of setup over doing a single turbocharger.
Now on to my concerns, yes the 4.0L V6 is a little bit bigger of a 6 but I am concerned that because it is a V6 that it wont be able to handle the pressure of a turbocharger, am I going to be looking at having to do gaskets at some point? Or looking at some other expensive repairs? Also does anyone have any sort of a grocery list for doing this kind of a project? I really appreciate any help that any of you can provide, thanks and happy motoring! |

Don't go twins, waste of money. You can get more power than you need with a single. And I am assuming that if you stay around the 350rwhp range you won't have to worry about breaking stuff.

The reason why I say 2 years is because im getting deployed next year and am holding off on major projects until I get back, tried out the search but I am new to this period and wanted to see what some peoples preferences where.

I would say go with the single turbo. Much cheaper and a properly sized one can do the exact same thing.
