Tire question.
I bought some tires for my mustang and i notice an arrow with the word rotation. If the arrow point to the left <- that means its a driver side and if to the right --> that means it goes on passenger side right?

yes, you want the arrow to turn clockwise when your car is moving forward.

Don't get confusing here.. If i was looking at the driver's side the arrow would never turn clockwise.............. the arrow turns towards the front of the car

When tires are first made a lot of tires are uni directional and when you drive on them the treads will form in that direction, the way you tell what way the tire has to go when putting them back on is by rubbing your hands accross the tread and you will feel one way will be smooth and 1 way with grab your hand the way that grabs your hand you put as if it was grabbing the road to propell you forward.
After the tires have learned thier direction if you put them on backwards they will seperate and you will get giant bumps as the metal inside binds and bends and sticks out of the tire. |

we're talking about performance tires with tread that only works right in one direction
![]() and the easiest way to know what way the unidirectional tires go is to mark them with chalk when you take them off so you can rotate front to back also, not rub your hand over them lol and im still wondering, why did you think they were perellis?

the majority of pirelli's are directional, they seem to like it that way. sixbanger that is an easy way if you happen to be taking the tire off your car and putting it back on, but what happens if your putting a tire on a car that didnt come from that car, you gotta check it, and it takes 3 seconds to tell what way the tire goes, its probably faster than trying to find a chalked arrow.

,,, yeah.... there are probaly 3 dozen tire brands with directional arrows, but either way, if its a directional tire it really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which way it should spn, I can't believe this thread went so far...

only reason i said anything is cuz that guy said ALL tires should have arrows, so i mentioned that most tires are unidirectional until driven on.

Why do the black bullitt wheels scratch real easy. I bought them use and one of the rims has a medium scratch. How do i take it out. And the chrome lip is kinda scruffy and has some stains. How do i take that out? its not noticeable form far but only from close view.

Try a scratch remover or polishing compound for the scratch and a chrome/metal polish for the lip

I was washing them then i dried them with a regular towel then a few whites lines appear (scratches). I tried the turtle chrome for the lip and its not really working.
