Rough Idle, Hard Start?
So I took my car in to the shop recently (most apartment complexes here have no tolerance for working on cars in the parking spaces), I wanted new tires and a general tune up because recently my idle has been low, and every few times I start it the motor shakes in the mount pretty hard like it is having trouble starting (feels like it stumbles a little).
So they tell me that my car was one of the ones that was designed to meet cali emissions and that my Air Injection Reactor Pump has gone out (about 450-500 bucks installed )Although I do trust the shop (my family goes there a lot), I thought I would ask you guys what you know about this and how hard it would be to handle myself (if i found a friend that does not live in an apartment)

Delete the whole air injection system and be done with it.

How is this done... and what advantages would it have (besides keeping me from spending $500
)Would I have to get a custom tune? (not that I dont want a reason to get an SCT unit)
