Question about rear upper control arms

well i bought some bbk knock off rear upper control arms and noticed it had something at the end with a cap.. a friend of mine said it looks like a nozzle that is used to put grease in.. i'm just wondering if these bushing need to be greased..

These aren't the same control arms i have but they look the same.. notice the red cap at the end of the control arm.. does anyone know if i have to put grease in these or what goes there??

Yes its a grease fitting...Aftermarket control arms seem to squeak sometimes with the stiffer bushings.

don't think I would personally ever buy knock off suspension parts....

Somethings I don't want to fail on me and well... suspension is one of those things

they are built very well and i called them knock offs because the look just like bbk.. and i only bought them cus both bushing were bad on the upper control arms and i got those for a decent deal.. if i keep my mustang and go turbo then ill definitely go with something better, lower and upper

btw ESG a buddy of mine has an extra 16g turbo that came on his eagle talon.. do u think that would be a decent turbo? if i need it he said i could have it for free

No offense guys...but your 6ers will be fine with the "knock offs". They look like a decent design..are they boxed arms or open at the bottom and are they spherical bushings? And as for the grease, 2-3 good squeezes should be good.. As for how often...Id clean em up and put a squeeze of grease in em every few oil changes.

You put it in until it starts coming out the end of the bushings, that way you know you have full coverage inside the bushing

I would say grease it like a ball joint. Until it comes out, but twist the bushings while your a greasing it.

Are you planning on getting lowers sometime soon? I bought the BBK upper/lower control arm package along with sperical bushings for the axle side, and have been pleased so far. And listen to what's been said above on how to grease 'em up.

Yea you can definatly feel the difference with aftermarket arms compared to the stockers. And I wasnt tryin to hate on the 6ers, hell I had the dog of em all....a 98 auto V6...but its what got me started in the hobby.
