nuStang's EGR delete thread (Come Help!)
So after finding out that my "Air Intake Reactor Pump" has gone bad, I have decided to get rid of it instead of paying 400-500 for it to be replaced.
However, everyone seems to have a different name for the smog components, and I would like some help figuring out what exactly i need to do. - I know I will need an sct unit, if you have a recommendation that would be cool - My car is stock so will I have to do anything about the CATs? - I am a visual person so if anyone has/can Ps a diagram or flow chart about how the smog equipment interacts with the engine I would appreciate it. - I am sure I will have more questions later, but i just wanted to get this gravy train rollin

I know, I have already done the search function... But i still dont know if we are talking about the same piece, I just called it egr in the title because that seemed to be the general term for that system in the engine.

I dont know... that kind of why I made this thread. Do i have to remove both?
The air injection pump is what I am trying not to fix by deleting it.

So one is under the intake hole in the passenger fender, and the other is under the alternator right?

the egr is by the left side of your upper intake (if your standing facing the engine) and it connects to the passenger manifold.
I have no idea about the air injection since my car doesnt have it but it connects to both manifolds. where i have these brass caps is where you will need to cap off for the air injection delete ![]() ![]() and this is the EGR port near the bottom of the passenger manifold
