EGR delete

Iv been looking around in the search forum trying to figure out how to delete my EGR.

I understand that all I basically do is get a block plate for the EGR and a brass fitting to cap a line correct? (besides the tune). Is there anything else that needs to be done?

Pretty much. Get the block off plate and gasket for the lower intake, cap for the EGR bung on the exhaust manifold, and turn off the EGR system in the tune so you don't get a CEL.

Just curious why you're doing it though? I did it to just clean up the engine bay a little after my windstar swap. You won't see any performance gains because of this.

same reason, tired of looking at it stick out whenever I open my hood. Do I need to take off my lower intake, not understanding why I need that gasket.

I put the gasket between the lower intake and the block off plate to ensure a good seal.
