yea def. something wrong if u cant get there and im pretty sure its more than 117.....i've done it...my car hasnt been tuned that i know of

05-07 V6 are capped at 115.

Of course, faster than that and the drive shaft explodes...

Fun.

Factory speed limitors are many times based upon the tire ratings. The drive shaft story is just bs.

No lie.

The 2005 driveshafts have U-joints that are peened together.

2006 and 2007 have "C" clips.

I still don't trust my 2006.

2 piece driveshaft?

Maybe on a E350 SD extended, but a freakin' Mustang?

Why?

Especially if they are not safe past 115 in a sports car.

Unless that's Ford's better idea to prevent "pole-vaulting" your Mustang when the 05 u-joint lets go at speed!

wow that snapped drive shaft looks like what my bro did to his on his old nova...but that thing is just a lil bit faster than my sixxer haha ...he has a 408 in the nova im pretty sure

Johnson, they must of changed the governors on them then. They used to only top at 117
