If you get gears your speedo will be off so you need it recalibrated. Unless you don't mind not knowing what mph you're actually going haha

Then just save until you can afford it all, or don't install the gears until you have the tuner. /thread.

no you dont have to have a tuner right away but if u want ur speedometer to be right without spending the money on a tuner, usually ford will recalibrate it for like 35-40$ so ur speedo will be correct

Depending on if he has an auto or a 5speed then the first thing he'll want to do is a recalibration..

i would get a quote from a ford dealership/service place.. they told me 526$ to install 4.10 gears tlok bearing kit and to recalibrate it so i didnt have to buy a tuner or recalibration tool..
