So, thinking of grabbing a hood (opps) and the ED sale on the 3" cowls is a good deal,

however will a M112 with the plates made by the good guys at 3.8stang clear? im guessing not, and if so, how big of a cut out would be needed, and is there and good ways to make it look good?

or would it be better just to grab a lower hood and do a cut out like most people do with the M112's?

are you asking if it will fit under a 3" cowl? yes it will easily...

it will not however, clear the stock hood with the m112 plate though

i know it wont clear an OEM hood, i was guessing the 3" wouldnt clear, and then wondered which would be better to modfy

but the M112 will clear the 3" cowl! Hmmmmm thats VERY good to know! i might be picking one of them hoods up!

can anyone confirm this?

well i jsut did a search and it seems that some ppl were able to get it under 3" and other could not.

well what hood are you going to buy, i believe the intake adapter from mysteed may fit under 3" cowl but it depends mostly on what intake you run. the s/c it self isnt what usually gets in the way its the plenum and all the hoses and crap on it.

on American muscle check out some of the cobra r hoods, i would go with one og the 1995 cobra r hoods, thers one with a 3.5" cowl and another with a 5" cowl
