GT fog lights .. sorry ..

hey sorry if this has been spoken million times before, but I've searched like 10 pages back and couldnt find the answer to it, so anyhow im gonna go to a junkyard tomorrow, and Im gonna try and get a GT bumper and/or Fog Lights...my question is if I take the GT Fog Lights off the GT will it connect and everything to my v6? ... or am I better off going to vmptuning and buying a set ... and uhm 1 more thing, would getting a O/r H pipe void the warranty on my car? I mean as long as I dont touch the engine i should be good right? ... I already got an exhaust on it ... anyways thanks for your help, its much appreciated...

what year is your v6?

the bumper for the 99-04 GT is the same one as the v6.. the only difference is the fog lights.

don't waste your money on a new bumper.. the fog lights will just unbolt from it.

the fog lights will bolt to your bumper just fine.
i think you have to buy a wiring kit though in order for them to accually work though.

not sure about the o/r voiding your warranty. i know you'll get a cel if you don't buy mil iliminators though.

oh btw.. i have an extra set of GT fog lights if your interested.

it will void any warranty on your exhaust. Yeah, everything will fit right up from the GT. Its cheaper that way too.

warranty

As far as the fog lights are concerned they should hook up with you current set up with little to not problem. HOWEVER, unfortunately, as far as the H-pipe exhaust goes... your warranty will be completely shot to hell. The dealers dont typically like it, unless you get it done by them, or by an approved place like Steeda, etc. Good luck man!

Yeah the o/r pipe will void since you are removing the cats

and the wireing kit is already in the 99-04 cars.

I don't think it would void the warranty if it's not directly linked to exhaust. Like if something happens that isn't related to exhaust it should still be covered. Much like adding a sub won't void your warranty.

But he would be removeing a piece of the car (cats) so they will void it. Dealerships are fast to void warrenties

but does that even apply to non emissions states? like from what I understand I don't need cats on my stang. Now just because I took them off and replaced them as long as the exhaust isnt a problem it shouldnt apply to my warrenty on my radiator or something

Well they are really good at making up reasons, like my friends 03 he put a CAI on it and when his synchros went out on his tranny they voided his warranty over the CAI
