Support mods for nitrous?

Because Turbos and superchargers are quite expensive. I have decided to go for nitrous. I plan on buying a kit at the end of October for my bday. I wanted to know what mods I could get before then to complement a nitrous setup?

How much are you planning on shooting? up to 100 you need colder sparkplugs and I think that is it besides the kit itself.

Doing nitrous right is just as expensive, and once you add in a few months of refills....

+1.

You don't have to refill a turbo. Except for an oil change.

Where are the turbos for the v6, i can't find any. Plus we are talking a few thousand dollars of difference in upfront cost.

there is no manufacturer for turbo's for our cars unless you can find a used kit, the up front cost is more but it will save you money over time and with the turbo its on ALL the time vs nawz being rarely ever on and costing you money to refill.

It is really a preference.

As far as what you need. You will need the bottle, lines, solenoids for fuel and nitrous, nozzle, jets, WOT switch. These should all come in the kit. And options include bottle heater, purge kit, remote bottle opener, and window switch, and a blow down tube.

If you look on the classifieds on this site sometimes ppl sell kits with everything mentioned above for 500-700 bucks. You won't need a window switch unless you have a manual.
And as far as never having it on. That is your opinion. If you just want it for when you are at the track or something which you go to a couple times a yr. Then sure nitrous is great. But when you are on roads your bottle won't be open and you will have a cold bottle with low pressure so you won't make power. That is where the turbo or SC is better.

What do you want is what you need to decide. The bottle will cost roughly 50 bucks to fill and you can make about 6 passes on the 1/4 mile at 100 shot and maybe 8 on a 75 shot.

With a remote bottle opener and a bottle heater, won't that eliminate the problems mentioned above.

Yes it will. But that is going to cost almost 400 bucks. Unless you can find them used. Plus the 500 dollar kit. Then the tune if you choose to, but I highly recommend a tune for 100 shot is another 150 bucks.

And the only other problem is the filling the bottle. I know that would be my problem, every week I would have to fill it lol. I get to lead footed

Be careful when you start using nitrous its a drug and its hard to stop due to the power gain and you end up going through 4 cars like my friend did... If you pop it on every now and then it shouldn't be a problem except for refills.

That's the plan. But aren't there other mods like a TB that would help?

Nitrous is great, if you dont feel like using it to race someone you can always pull the bottle out of your car and have a party
