Royal Purple Synchromax help for smoother shifts?

I just replaced my clutch, it feels so nice but my gearbox is a little tight, the gears dont feel as smooth as id like.

should i change the trans fuild with Royal Purple Synchromax? it says it makes the shifting smoother.

my gears dont grind, just not smooth all the time, sometimes first doesnt go in and reverse also.

ive never changed the tans fluid and i dont know when the last time it was changed, i bought the car a year ago

Sounds like your synchros are going... but if you just had the clutch replaced they/you had to put new fluid in the trans. I put the RP in when I installed my clutch and like it, no issues and with the new clutch it shifts great. Not sure it will help your issues but its good stuff.

Edit: You have to at least top the fluid off if you replace clutch as you have to pull the driveshaft and trans and I'd say its impossible to prevent any fluid from coming out.
