Car Noise Problem, HELP!!!

Lately my car has had this annoying like grinding sound. For instance, i usually have to do a three point turn to be able to get out of my parking spot to go to work. So when i head into the first point and apply my brakes, my car begins to rattle. I highly doubt its my brakes because its coming from the engine compartment. Once i put it in reverse, it goes away. It also happens when i start to accelerate after a stop sign or stop light. Has this happened to anybody before? I was thinking that maybe it could be my driveshaft

might be....or if you have an aftermarket exhaust, it could be rattling. My exhaust does that sometimes.

The thing is i dont have an aftermarket exhaust. My car is pretty much dead stock as ive only had it for a year and just recently started looking into mods. The only thing i have done is installed a cold air intake but i am getting new drilled/slotted rotors and pads this week

Can you get a vid of it? If we can hear the noise we might be able to guess better...

I've had a catalytic converters that rattled at certain RPMs on one of my old trucks, maybe it's the same thing for you? Does it only happen when the car is moving or if you rev it in neutral does it still make the noise?

does it rattle if you go over slow bumps too?

the heat shields on one of my cats came loose and would rattle in fastfood drivethru's and parking lots and stuff. heard it over bumps too.

i put the car in the air, ripped all the shields out and threw em in the trash.

havent heard a peep since.

Yeah the heat shields can come loose... also the brake dust shields do the same.

If its when you apply brakes, or UNapply them leaving a stop, it very well could be brake related. If you get new rotors and pads and have adequate fluid and noise persists post again.
