Cold Air Intake

Everyone is talking about this... Here is a question. I just bought a K&N Air Filter for my car (STOCK). It was a $40 investment. If I buy a CAI, doesn't it remove the stock air filter unit and replace it with a different one so now I will be out $40? The air filter is BRAND NEW (3 weeks, 200 miles). I would hate to throw $40 away like that!

Yes, you could have gotten an Ebay Cold Air Intake for about 40$ and it comes with a different filter -

I really like K&N. If I was to do a CAI, I would probably do a K&N. Who could install this for me? I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WORKING ON CARS! I will have my dad (am I am 22 how sad) Teach me to change oil for the first time when my wife's car needs a change.

im 16 and i learned how to install it by myself! lol its really easy..all you do is disconnect your stock intake and plastic tube and just replace it with your CIA its pretty much common sense when you do it in person..i dont know how to explain it..but its extremely easily..even a CAVEMAN CAN DO IT!!!

I bought it labor day weekend when everything was 0% if you qualified. I do agree, it was a little more expensive BUT when they had the 0% financing, I had to go to 5 different dealerships just to FIND a mustang with an AT tranny. I can not drive a stick because I have a crippled left knee (5 rebuilds and counting) so I can not hit the clutch. One dealership flat told me "the price is xxxxx dollars and no argueing. We KNOW we can sell it at that price to someone". So I found one and it was decent priced (probably paid an extra grand over what I should have).

Damn, sorry about your knee. I would of slapped the sales person for saying that and said "you're not carmax".

And I actually do believe I remember an ad like that on T.V. about the labor day sale. should of gotten the gt though. It would of been the same price.
