Yeah I read something wrong my bad. But thats why your failing cause your engine is set up for on OBD 1 which would be under the hood on a 94 car, but I'm not sure where to get it refereed

They should do your smog testing like a 94 since that is your engine, What exactly is a ref I havn't heard of this before

OK yeah you need to get your car classified under 94 emissions standards.

referee
What state is this in?
In Calif. any smog station should be able to refer you to a referee station. This might be a dumb question, but can't you put in all the 94 parts including manifolds, smog parts, wiring etc, so it looks just like a 94 engine? I suppose from the engine serial number they could tell. My understanding is in Calif. if you had a later engine you would need the smog equipment for the later engine, unless you can fool them into thinking it is the original engine. |
