Clicking .. Tapping Noise ...

Ok Theres a Clicking Tapping Noise Coming From The Passenger Side Of The Engine Bay ... When It Starts Cold You can Hear It But Once It Warms Up You Cant .. Every time I Accelerate it from the engine baby (throttle body) .. Under Mid Hard Acceleration You can Hear The Clicky Noise .... And At Times When Im Driving And I Gun It i Can Smell The Gasoline .... ???

My Grandfather who'm we own a shop together says it might be an exhaust leak but he looked under it and found nothing ..... were waiting for my dad to come back from a trip to find out whats what ..... any ideas ??

could be loose bolts? like when u give it gas the engine vibrates, also like when u start her up on a cold day she will rev to 2500 rpms. maby the CAI(Or Ram air) is loose,or knocking off the side(or anything). just check for loose bolts/parts

...I know I've said this a lot lately, but this im 95% sure of. I am def. saying bent rod here. If it is doing what you say, classic sign of bent rod. It does it worse when cold because the oil hasnt gone through the seal to the rod and it's banging metal on metal.

The rods are $2.18 a piece. You can do it yourself. its not hard at all. Just get a Haynes Manual. All you will need are the rods.

Ok..... Octane booster is a waste of money. it doesnt help you at all. Also, where was the smoke coming from? Was it between the manifold and the block? or was it the donut gasket (where the manifold meets the down pipe [ y pipe] ???

Is there a chance that what your hearing is an exhaust leak seeing as how the seafoam was coming out near where the header and head meet up and exhaust leaks can sound a lot like what your describing

Hmm,

I could have sworn I posted in this thread. Anyway - You have an exhaust leak. Cracked passenger side manifold. Very common
