Well I got a coupler on there now, I tried tightening it down and I would rather just have the coupler on there.

Also did anyone else notice that their gas pedal became a bit stiffer?

And the damn thing still has a vac leak and I cannot see where it's coming from so tomorrow I'm taking off all the hoses and re connecting them.

edit: new coupler

and should i make a bracket to move the throttle cable bracket foreward more so i can attatch the cruise cable?

1) coupler looks good.
2) i would pull TB off first and look at how its sealing. are you using gasket or o-ring?
3) my pedal felt easier (stock TB with extension)
4) i dont think you have much room to mod bracket. and it shouldent be nessassery. is cruz cable adjustable at other end?

Im using the provided gaskets, 1 between the spacer and intake and one between the spacer and throttle body.

tomorrow i will fill up that groove in the intake with JB weld like you did to see if it improves anything.

and im getting an updated tune tomorrow for the EGR delete and i will see if he can do anything for the larger tb and the intake.

I will check out the spring tomorrow and see if the throttle body has that groove. If so i will fill it.

Did you just use JB weld and then flatten it with a spatula?

How long does that stuff take to harden?

and how would you go about filling the little groove in the throttle body so that there is no chance if it falling off and being sucked into the engine.

jb mixed well, small spatula would work i used a flat file. get the quick set jb. you just need to look at TB and spaces mounting face.

You are correct with the throttle body gasket arrangement. You do not want to use the Windstar's rubber style gasket.

No JB Weld is needed on the throttle body or mount. Your throttle body from VAP will come all ready modified and ready to go. If you get the full kit you will not need to use any JB Weld at all.

I would look elsewhere for your vacuum leak. Let me know how it goes.

well there is no vaccum leak, however.

tonight when i went to seafoam the car so i can get the oil changed tomorrow i went to put it in the nipple ontop of the intake above the throttle body and i think the hose might be pinched under the intake as there was no vaccum in it at all. Like all the other hoses have a bit of sucking force.

so when i get time I will take the intake off and try to re route the cable.

Hey 99Bluev6, post pics of what you did with making the channel for the hose to route under the intake for Southfour.
