Size of off road pypes...

I am wondering if there is any major difference between the off road pypes of the gt's and v6's? I was wondering if i could get away with getting the gt off road pype for me year or if i could use the 99 v6 off road pype.

I do have shorty headers instead of stock ones if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

You have to use the v6. The GT wont fit at the headers. I'm just gonna say that alot of people who have bought a Pypes set up don't like it, They tend to have fitment problems. (that is just hear say though)

From my knowledge the v6 and gt's have different fittings up front, and I 'THINK' they use different sized pipes for different back pressure. (not sure) But then again I've seen many people use GT's pipes for catbacks many times with no problem so with some modding I don't see the problem with it.

Well i wasnt sure and a little fab isnt a problem because my mechanic will be doing it for me.

I asked him if he could cut the cats off and he said no because if epa walked in for any reason he would have a huge fine. Which i figured he wouldnt, but he said if i bought and off road pipe he would do it no problem lol.

Back pressure is never good.

Most full systems don't fit as well as a custom setup would. But if you have to buy a system to do what you want, then go for it. I would recommend the MAC O/R H pipe

MAC was a brand i was looking at also. I have my exhaust dumped right after the mufflers so its not having to fit into anything really, it all can be moved easily.

Ok, sounds like you should just pick up the MAC H pipe and let the guy fab the rest.
