i got an estimate once. They didnt even know where to begin. The just gave me an estimate of 3 grand JUST for starters.

Well if you know how to do it yourself, and you scrap it off another stang, all the parts you need anyway. And sell your transmission and all the stuff with it. It could actually benefit you..
My friend got away with $25 profit. Did all the work himself haha. He bought a tranny that needed some work, with all the parts and sold his rebuilt auto tranny for more money.

If you know how to do all the work yourself, its well worth it. You just have to look around. I found a guy with tr-3650 that wanted to swap it out for a auto. So I bought his car to my house and performed both swaps in my driveway. I swapped his manual to a auto, and my auto to a manual.

There's tons of guides on how to do them. Just be technically savvy and it's not really a big deal. Maybe know a guy and trade a kegger for his services
