Need Help, mechanically retarded!

ok, i have a 2008 v6. i have 3 very minor? but annoying problems.

1. last december, i bought new rims and tires for my car. they are bigger than the stock rims. in the rear passenger side, whenever i pull out it sounds like im running over a tin can. this noise goes away once i get going, but it gets annoying every time i pull out. i have no idea what to look for, i took the tire off to look for any rocks etc. im sure its something simple but i am just looking for an easy fix.

2. another problem with my rims/tires. although i think i know what the problem is. once i reach speeds of ~65 mph +, i experience some shaking. i had my tires balanced by a very good mechanic. i THINK i need a front end allignment, as that is where the shaking is coming from i believe.

3. slightly annoying/embarrassing problem. a few days ago i honked my horn to a person i knew, and it sounded fine. when i pulled into my driveway and used my remote to lock it the short beep sounded a little off. now whenever i beep my horn it sounds really pussy. i checked the fuses just to be sure, they arent blown, i dont know if i blew it completely or if that screw came loose or what. im absolutely clueless as to what the problem could be. i have a general idea as to where it is located so i will probably get under my car to have a look at it ( wont do much good as im no good mechanically )

if you need anymore info about my car ill be glad to post it. thanks for the help in advance.

1) Tine can sound probably isnt the wheel itself. Maybe a bearing, but that would probably make noise at all speeds. If you put your stock wheels and tires on does it still make the noise?

2) Bring it to a tire/alignment place. They'll be able to tell you if you need an alignment or if its a ca

3) Loose wire maybe? I doubt you blew out a horn.

I agree on the bearing. Most bearings get louder with speed or greater loads. And it could be exhaust rattling, my exhaust used to rattle.

As far as the alignment, the above is a good idea.

And on the horn. It sounds to me that you have a poor connection. I would try cleaning the connectors for the horn, and cleaning the grounds.

That tin can noise, does it happen when your wheels are turned to full lock? It could be the rims rubbing, have you pulled the wheels off and looked them over? I didn't have any rubbing problems with my 18x9 front wheels rubbing but my 17x8 OEM wheels rub like a bitch at full lock. The only way I would worry about it being a bearing would be if it got louder as you picked up speed. I had a rear wheel bearing going bad once and it made a horrible burning smells after I got off highways then an annoying chirping noise as normal city speeds.

Get one of those truck air horns for your car

Or get an aftermarket one like the General LEE
