New brakes.

Okay i think i need new brakes on my 04 stang... The brake pedal has to be pressed pretty hard to get good stopping power. And the rear ones make a slight scrubbing sound... 30000 miles is on the car. I was wondering is this normal to change break pads at this time or?

Yeah pads don't have a normal time to change really just whenever they get bad and you notice your breaking performance slipping.

sounds like a good call. I had my brakes go out on my in my stang over the summer. I luckily was only 1/2 a mile from my shop, but it wasn't a fun time. Don't delay a brake check.

im not sure what makes them better i just know thats something extremely crucial and i will never go cheap on it. i have brembo brakes and rotors and i stop on a half dollar. if i had better tires i could probably stop on a dime.

its because they are cross drilled and slotted which keeps them cooler making them mroe efficient.. and they have 4 pistons in them (twice as much as stock ones) that do the clamping down on the rotor..
