Hey guys it's been a while. Just bought my CAI and installing this week. And got free smoky headlights for free, yes DOT SAE approved. Anyway next will be exhaust (Suggestions appreciated). (I want intake and exhaust done first for sound as personal preference.) Now for one, my mustang appears to have the harmonic balancer, so when i do under drive pulleys, can i do all but crank pulley with h/b? or is what im saying right? also what is the best parts to replace with forged internals before applying 10+ boost? just pistons and rods, or? any opinions and advise appreciated.

Take things slow, ya know? Try and not rush into things. Thats always the best to do.

Exhaust? Longtube headers would be key, IMO. Mufflers is a personal preference thing. People like SLP. Some like Bassani. I love my Flowmasters. =]

So you wanna keep the crank pulley with the balancer on? I dont see why not. I mean, that was one of the pullies I decided to underdrive. Thats me, though.

Im gonna swap internals with forged ones when I go 4.2L. I mean, I really have no choice. haha. Basics would be the rods, pistons, rockers.. I dont know how far in depth you would wanna go, yet you can always bore the cylinders in the process. =]

you want to replace the crank pulley thats the only one your really get power from. For exhaust my personal choice is go to a muffler shop and get custom true duals with a crossover bar and flowmaster super 40's. For forged internals do it all I am pretty sure SSMS sells them in kits that comes with everything,

Speakin of forged internals, I was speaking with Tom from SuperSix Motorsports the other day. He led me to a sweet stroker kit that had all the forged internals needed for a good buildup. Link below...

I have to agree with Faleen on this one, Super 40s own.. I love em..

seeing how big the crank pulley is it would be a nice upgrade, have any of you done it with a one that has a h/b? if so were there any complications? don't worry im not rushing all this, i go as fast as the $$$ lets me.... not fast with other payments and bills . as for boost, i heard a rumor they are making a top mount s/c like the cobra and roush for the v6, and word? cause i'll wait and get that over the centrifical (spelling off i know) s/c, and not fansy on a turbo.

The H/B will have no complications it is just a matter of you having it or not. Your gonna see 8-10hp from it which is a good amount for 160 bucks. As for the m112 set up. Your going to see more power from a centri blower on a engine like ours. The roots and twin screw systems like bigger engines.

i see, freeing up 8-10 would be nice, and centri blower will be best bet then, i'll do some more research. anyway i know rear-end work is a huge difference, if i find a wrecked gt and put that rear in, does it fit right in without complications? cause i'd rather do that and get the 4.10's. luckly i work in a dealership service shop and have buddies to help, "no cost on labor"

btw, thanks for advise and help.

Yeah a gt rear will bolt right up no problems. If you plan on over 500hp I would go ahead and upgrade the t-lok to a Auburn or Detroit locker and a 31 or 33 spline upgrade.
