umm a catted o/r x-pipe doesn't exist o/r means no cat, but

x-pipes sound horrible on our cars, and so does bassani. Go with a custom fabbed h-pipe if you have emissions and need your cats, and custom piping from all from a muffler shop with your choice of mufflers(flowmaster super 40's IMO) or a flowmaster or mac catback.

or if you wanna get rid of the cats get a mac h-pipe and a mac catback.

I have a 94 Mustang 3.8 and decided after alot of research to take a chance and go with a X-pipe and leaving the cats in place.

The exhaust shop I went to has been in business a very long time and came highly highly recommended by the muscle and tuner crowd here in Oklahoma. He tried to talk me out of going with an X-Pipe but admitted he was never asked to do one on a mustang, especially a V6, everyone always went with straight dual exhaust or an H pipe. Much to his suprise and mine though when it was all said and done with 3" chrome tips, it sounded incredibly good. He even went so far as to say he's going to start pushing for X Pipes on V6 mustangs lol. In the low RPM's its deep and throaty and even at the admitted shock of many mechanics when they popped the hood, they all swore it was a V8 just by the sound. In the high RPM's it gives a loud roar that very closely emulates a V8 as close as you can without actually having one and it just sounds meaner and meaner the higher you go.

Above is just a FYI, sometimes an X pipe does sound good :award

Ok ^ after realizing that he makes it a bit better sounding in typing then what it is we can move on.......as for the "Pypes O/R X-pipe" has not cats...if it did it wouldnt be a "O/R" X-pipe.....as for sound bassani on a 6 isn't throaty or much of a growl at all....Hpipes can give better sound constant in the RPM range....Xpipes sound nice on a V6 low and Scream high in the RPM range....choosing a muffler to balance the sound is the key....some sound better then other with different mid pipes...I have a Pypes offroad Xpipe and I would know what talking about and not just hearing from others...but i would rather go with flowmasters not just because I have them but with a X you would want something thats loud as well but with a nice sound....bassani will sound like rice on a V6 at 4500rpms w/ a Off Road pipe....magnaflows and macs sound good with H setups on 6's
