I would not run more then 5lbs of boost on a stock internal V6....and tuning isn't doing anything to make up for the internals....all tuning is gona do is make more power...turbo mustang owners will tell you do it right and spend the extra money where it counts...not only is it safer you would get better engine response too...Ive seen a V6 on 4 lbs of boost beat a SRT 4 from a roll which try doing that with simple bolt ons...you'll be walked...I can take them off the line and up to about 85mph if they are stock but on a roll...hell no.... just get a 99-04 GT rear and call it a day

Tuning is doing a lot. Timing and a/f ratio are big parts of running it safe.

oh yeah of course....but I dont think running 10psi with a level air/fuel ratio on stock internals will help prevent shit breaking....your gaining HP which leads to parts needing to meet or succeed the power being put out...

to a certain point yes. the 4.10s have nothing to do with it
the 7.5 and that t-lok after a certain point..a rough est. of 12+psi your axle will snap, crack etc...

7.5 vs 8.8..... 7.5 might get the job done, but they are a weak link in the vehicle once you start making some modifications. It is true you CAN beef up the 7.5 to be far stronger than stock BUT even a stock 8.8 is stronger than a tricked out 7.5

For the price you are going to spend on new internals for the 7.5, you could just simply get an 8.8... Put gears in it if you wish, and you have a much better, much stronger rear end.

If you are going to go for some serious hp/torque, this is the route to go....
If you do a lot of wheel spinning, this is the route to go....

You can purchase a complete 8.8 from ford that is a bolt on... I thinkt hey come with like 3.35:1 and 3.73:1 choices. You can choose a 28spline or 31spline, and if you are looking for the simplest solution, get a 3.73:1 28 spline... your axles will slip right in, and you simply bolt it in, put the brakelines and brakes on and away you go...

But then again, all the above is my opinion and preferance

*edit* (I just can't shut up at times....) I forgot to mention if you ARE going to put some good hp out of your motor, and are going to get an 8.8... I recommend purchasing the 31spline version, and getting some 31 spline axles to.... OR getting the 28spline model, and STILL getting some new 28spline axles..... But, either way, get new axles..... They actually are not that spendy....
