Good luck heating up the ss headers to bend them. Especially if your gonna bend the 3 primaries at once.

I notched all 3 primaries on mine on the top and bent them up away from the mount. I find this method the easiest....

And here is one I built a few months ago...

btw...I put my o2 bungs in the peice of pipe after the headers.

Thanks that's what I wanted to see that it will work. My plan to heat it up was to bolt down all three primaries and use a rose bud or buds if necessary. But I'll notch if I have to.

Stock 2" on log headers, and 2.25" on 98 style.

Notching it is sooo much easier.

Also something to think about, ( 99 blue suggested this to me a while back) you could notch the bottom and add material if your worried about cosmetics.

When I notched the tops it would leave a gap on the sides after I bent the header up, I just used some 3/32 7018 welding rods and bent to the contour of the primarie and used that to fill in the gaps. Thats cheating, but the ss header material will burn up easy if you stay too long trying to drag butal over the gaps. You'll see what I'm talking about if you use this method.

I'm thinking two of these

She runs real good after the windstar, and except for the racket from the coilover's she handles real good. Like on a rail.
