nope its not the idle RPM its the amount of turns per minute... the only logical way is to get on over drive pulley for the alternator...

just ... a little lesson i bet you already know this but just reminding you...

the under drive is smaller so it turn the whole belt system less times for every time the pulley spin around then the original one does... well since the other pulleys are built for stock when the belt slows down then they don't spin as many times per minute either...

thats why you would need an overdrive pulley... i got one for my car and i havne't had a single issue and i am running a more powerful sound system then stock... soo yea

you dont need the alt pulley. Its very unlikely to have charging problems with it if your stock. If you notice charging problems you should get it, but if your stock save your money and dont buy it.

Hmmm, I got a spiffy crank pully AND an alt pulley with my kit......

If your gonna do it, do it right... spend the bucks and get a good setup.....

Also, if you EVER plan on doing a SC, you want to keep your factory pulley's... you can't use an underdrive on a SC.

Thanks guys...as far as a power adder ill either go turbo or nitrous, but I keep all the stock parts anyway...I only got the pulley and the belt ordered though since it was cheaper...looks like adding in an alt pulley will cost what the kit did though...is it an easy install

the easiest way to get the alt pulley is with an impact wrench, and I think it's a size 23 socket. I had undercharging issues when I installed my pullies, and I didn't put the alt pulley on. That fixed it though.

you can use it you just need a monster pulley on the super charger... which puts more rotating mass on it and makes it a lil harder to spin... but if the pulley is of high quality on the spuer charger and is big enough you can get back up to 8 psi with a 25% underdrive after a bit of tweaking

Your not suppossed to becuase the supercharger has to do that much more work, just so that it create boost. The pulley quality has nothing to do with how much boost it makes. Quality just makes sure it doesn't mess up on you. You need your accessories running where they are at stock so that your belt spins fast enough for you to create boost that gives you power right off the bat with a supercharger.

I think mods should blend together better...pulley no sc/ LT's no turbo...and if you do its a pain in the ass
