heater tube

It should go back in before the fuel rail and engine wiring harness. If not you have to remove the EGR valve to get it in.

I could only find it at a Ford dealer, and it's a $125 part. On the other hand, the small hose that broke in my hands only cost $2 to replace

Yeah, when I went to put it on, I took the rails back off and figured out how to get it on there. It goes on easy when you, uh, don't try to insert the water pump end first and swing it around 120 degrees to make it fit

Hey, the guy who took mine apart unbolted the headers from the exhaust pipes. I'm not sure why he did that, do you have to in order to get the heads off (obviously they have to be unbolted from the heads)? I haven't yet figured out how to get to them to bolt them back. I didn't realize how little clearance there was to access them from underneath until I had everything else done...

And are this guys' cats going to be screwed up with coolant having gone through them?

The manifolds are attached to the heads with studs and nuts and you have to remove some of the studs to access the head bolts. I took the exhaust manifolds out of the car, but you might be able to leave them attached to the pipes and remove all the nuts and studs. The stud has a hex end that fits a 5mm socket (at least on a 99).

I wouldn't think antifreeze would damage the convertors. It would probably mostly boil out of them. Of course it might crack the ceramic catalyst support. I guess if they rattle and they didn't before they should be checked out.
