swapping '95 V6 gauge cluster to a '94-'98 GT cluster?

Hi new to the board and have a question. Searched around already for an answer but couldn't find a post that gave a definitive one. I have a 1995 V6 convertible and would like to put in a new gauge cluster from a 1994-1998 GT or Cobra so I have a higher reading speedometer. Does ayone know for sure if this is possible. I know my V6 cluster has two plugs that go into the back, havn't looked at the back a of GT cluster yet. I would want the speedometer to read correctly and wasn't sure if there was a sensor to change out or something that would have to be re-calibrated? Any help and info on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you can do it but it will have to be recalibrated.

Don't think you can throw it in, and then go get it recalibrated either. Your car more than likely won't start with the new one in un-calibrated to your car.

So is there some type of chip in the cluster that needs the recalibration, or is it something with the computer in my car? Also is this something I would have done at a dealership or could most shops do it? Sorry for all the questions but I am new to all this, last Mustang was a '66 so I am in the process of learning all the computer controlled systems, etc.
