transmision noises


I noticed today that my transmision is making noises whenI shift with the car stoped an they r loud the cluch also makes a noise when I pressed it but only when the car is stoped when the car is moving it doesn't make any sound... can someone tell what it is?.... is my tranny fucked up?

waiiit...when soo the clutch makes a noise when its pressed in and your at a complete stop??

yes.. and the shifts sound too lets say I'm in 1 and go to reverse when going to reverse it sounds and loud

if you jiggle the shifter around you'll hear clanking, thank you ford....
and if you press the clutch in and hear a noise like a rattle or a lose noise. then its probably your throwout bearing.

im guessing the throw out bearing..when mine when out it made a loud squeeling noise when the clutch was OUT th o...soo idk

If the noise goes away when the clutch is pressed in its the pilot bearing.

If the noise starts when the clutch is pressed in its the throwout bearing.

At least thats how it works with rx7 manual transmission. Brief description of the two.

the car turned 100,000 just yesterday = (..... and the squeak is while pressing the clutch but it's only when the car is stop the mechanic told the car was good and he drive it and all but I don't know

it would not be the throw out bearing. It would be the pilot bearing like Buddha said.

ya its pilot.... i keep getting them mixed up. either the pilot or t/o have 2 names i dont remember though. my mistake....

the bearing costs like $5 or so. but the install probably $200. rough estimate though. do it yourself, easy as pie.

bye experience when people say is easy as pie they usually mean 30 minutes or more than one hour and rigth now I don't have time... I even don't have time for my girl = ( I'm so frustrated

I knew it was something like that .... when they say putting a CAI (without instructions and being a first timer) is easy as cake then they r telling u "bro prepare for 1 or more hour of headaches"
