Good news, bad news, and somehelp would be nice

Ok good news. I should have my gears and t-lok within a month got quoted 250 tops for my gear install so I am happy.

Bad news my passenger side manifold is cracked (go figure). So my question is if any of you have recently put on headers and have a good condition manifold pm me please. Also how hard is it to replace yourself? Thanks in advance guys.

i'm assuming ebay would be your best bet for price but quality might be questionalbe. can the shop weld a patch or anything on the old ones?

Well a stock manifold has to be a cake walk compared to the LT install I just did....

I HAD stock manifolds. Finally got rid of them about a month ago. Wouldve been more than happy to send em both your way, cuz really, Id look dumber with one instead of two. heh. But if its cracked and you get it fixed wether you do it yourself or replace it with another stock one, it may be time to upgrade with a longer header. [ahem..] =D

I second that. haha. But GF, its way worth it. That is IF you decide to go with a better setup.

Well I am going turbo so headers are just kind of a waste for me. So think the install could be done with hand tools?

If you have one of those 300 piece sets from like Sears, yea. A small fishing lure box with nothing but screwdrivers wont help at all. =]

yep just gona need some muscles haha. i heard that the bolts might be rusted so an impact gun could definately help more then setting up the wrench so you can kick it or jump on it haha

Yeah...just make sure you torque the bolts to the right specs. Definately don't want to over/underdo the bolts on the manifold. That wouldn't be a pretty sight. GF, a torque wrench might be your best friend if you're thinking of doing your turbo setup yourself, as opposed to taking it to a shop. It would definatley be handy now so you can torque those bolts to the right specs on the manifold.

im calling a turbo shop tomorrow see what they can do compared to TMA's pricing...to be honest the price for the twin turbo's are way to much. at most the turbos, waste gates, and piping costed him $2k

i bought a stock manifold from the deal for $150...i work at advanced auto parts...i'll see if we can get it there...i get 20% off so i can let you know what i can do for it
