I had the same thoughts too. But, at 100k miles your engine is tired. I dont care what everyone else preaches here, but at 100k, your engine IS tired. Instead of just replacing all the internals, I bought a 4.2 crate engine. Its being put in as we speak. I would recommend getting the engine instead of just stroking it out yourself...

well, the engine I bought starts out at $1995.00 (4.2), but I paid an additional $2200 for extra upgrades Check out this website:

http://www.precisionengine.com/rebui...nes/index.html

look at the 4.2 stroker.

A hell of a lot cheaper than www.supersixmotorsports.com

yeah man, not problem. the best thing to do would be to call them and work up a custom 4.2 instead of just buying the "shelf model". That way you get what YOU want.

Stage 3 cylinder heads, and the CompCams 218/224 billet cam, CompCams 1.7 stud mount rocker arms, Trickflow hardened pushrods, race-prepped 94-95 rods and Wiseco forged pistons,Stage 3 upper intake along and BBK 56mm throttle body. and a couple other things I cant think of right now..

I actually got the shipping for free. Just ask them for deals. When your spending that much money on THEIR product, you own them (so to speak). lol. Just say you wont buy unless they will ship for free. Otherwise shipping is like 300 plus 50 packaging.

The shop I took it to only charged me like 800 to swap the engines. So, its not too bad at all.
