Engine light on!

It's has a P1131 trouble code it says its running lean. My car doesn't run good when I press the gas pedal the car shakes and the exhuast makes a poping noise and also doesn't accelerate normal.

did you mess with the maf sensor when maybe installing a cai? what did you do recently?

if thats not the problem unplug the negative on your battery for 5mins then put it back.

Will MIL eliminators help? Even though I got 2 cats?

probably, it must be something with your o2 sensors, are they plugged in right?

I had a similar problem once. My catalytic converter had broken...it was pretty annoying. But yeh, I'd suggest unplugging the battery first to see if that fixes the light.

Says you have a SCT tuner, write up Joe (Tricktuners) And tell him everything you have done to your car and he'll hook you up.

I think it's a tune problem. Your car needs the O2 sensors to determine to run a little more lean or rich.

Meineke put them on when I scan the DTC it said at the end (b1, s1). Should I put the two MIL eliminators on the 2 front o2 sensors?

All this is stupid. Ignore it. I got my info mixed. B1 S1 is bank 1 SENSOR 1. That just means the upstream is telling you.

I checked my engine light again and this is what it says.. Lack of ho2s-11 switches-sensor indicates lean (b1,s1)... this is exact what my tuner says. What do I have to do to fix this?

From what Mr. Red Pony says, you got a gasket problem brochacho.

Check it, or take it to a shop.

Mr red pony did your car run bad when you had a bent rod? When I am accelerating slow the car runs fine and when I press the gas pedal hard it doesnt accelerate fast and it makes a poping noise and the car goes back and forth..I don't know what to do

It ran... kinda fine. But I if THAT is the code, are the headers sealed up tight to the heads? I edited that last post. But I still did miss fire and get lean codes on bank 1. Sorry if I gave you a heart attack..

It got them installed like 1 week ago the guy told me to tighten the bolts on the headers after couple hundred miles because the headers shrink after they get hot/cold so many times. But if the headers are loose they should make a noise.

Not always true. I would tighten them just to be sure. I still suggest a compression test.

How does loose bolts on the headers make the engine run lean.

It sounds to me like a header leak. There really isn't a big tune difference between before and after long tubes. There isn't a big MAF transfer function (the MAF calibration that controls load which controls fueling) change, however a little bit changes top end and very little down low. We've taken that into consideration in your tune, though.

The majority of the tune changes are to let the oxygen sensors know they have been moved farther down stream so that they can expect a delay.

I am betting a gasket leak. This will skew the upstream oxygen sensor reading, the car's fueling will go crazy, and you'll get that lean code.

If is sucks air into the headers, the O2 will think it is lean. Same reason an exhaust leak will make it say it is lean.
